LUIGO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Name: Luigo Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/heeler mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of August 2026 SEX: Male Estimated Weight: 45 lbs as of August 2026 Gets Along With: Luigo gets along well with other dogs. He would do best in a home without cats or kids under the age of 12. Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Special Adoption Considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because Luigo is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog to show him the ropes. Luigo is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Luigo! You can watch a video of my rescue in Puerto Rico here: https://youtube.com/shorts/uT4qlY7lLQw?feature=share. I'm looking for my forever family! I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. But most of all I want to know I'm safe and loved, where I belong. I have so many kisses and so much love and loyalty to give in return. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you? What My Foster Says About Me: Luigo (Wee-Gee, is what we call him)…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.
