Meet Lucky: A Loyal Shadow with a Gentle Heart Lucky is a sweet 9-year-old cattle dog mix with a calm spirit, a soft heart, and a deep love for being near his people. After the passing of his male owner, he settled into foster life and has shown everyone what a steady, affectionate companion he can be. Lucky is happiest indoors, padding from room to room as his foster mom’s loyal little shadow. He is leash trained, has excellent recall, and comes running with enthusiasm when called. When new people arrive, he may bark at first, but he settles quickly once he understands everything is okay. Lucky can coexist with other dogs, though he has his preferences and may not enjoy every canine friend he meets. He ignores cats, making him an easygoing presence around feline friends. He is crate-trained, but he rarely needs one because he does so well with his house manners and outdoor routine. He enjoys a little playtime, but he is just as content curling up on the couch for a quiet snuggle. Lucky would thrive in a quiet, easygoing home, especially with a retired person or couple who would enjoy having a devoted companion nearby. He would be okay with older children, but younger children…
