LITA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Lita Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Beagle Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of Sept. 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 25lbs as of 9/14 Gets Along With: Other Dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Check out this cute video of Lita! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because of this, Lita MUST go to a home with a resident dog to help show her the ropes. Lita is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace are exactly what she wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. This sweetheart dreams every night about running around with her humans, sniffing all the interesting things on walks together, and then going to a comfy home where she is a cherished part of a family. What do you say? Is she the one for you? What My Foster Says…

How adopting Lita works

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
