From Central Arizona Animal Rescue

I’m Kurt, and if you’re reading this, I’m hoping it means my forever family might finally be out there. I’m about three years old, around 25 pounds, and—if you ask the humans at Central Arizona Animal Rescue—some kind of Shiba Inu mix… though honestly, your guess is as good as anyone’s. What I do know is that I’m a good boy with a big heart, a gentle spirit, and a story that’s ready for a new chapter. I didn’t come here alone. I arrived at a California pound with my whole family—my mate and our four pups, all around two years old now. We were one big pack who had lived our whole lives together. We were friendly, social, and sweet, but we didn’t know much about the world. Our previous owners must have gotten overwhelmed, because even though they clearly cared about us, we never learned things like how to walk on a leash or what “sit” means. I’m still figuring out how to be a dog in a human world, but I’m trying hard, and I’m proud of how far I’ve already come. Life at Central Arizona Animal Rescue has been a huge change, but a good one. The people here are kind, patient, and always cheering me on. They say I’m gentle, quiet, and easy to love. I don’t bark much, and I warm up…

How adopting Kurt works

Central Arizona Animal Rescue decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
