JOLENE (watch my video!) Female ~4 years old Pit Bull Terrier 53 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with dogs and kids; untested with cats Jolene (FKA Sugar) was recently rescued from the high-intake PG Animal Shelter and we quickly renamed her in honor of Dolly Parton. She is a 4-year-old compact powerhouse with a gentle heart, a curious mind, and a personality that has already started shining through. She may have only recently left the shelter, but she has handled every new experience like she’s been training for it her whole life. From hopping right into the car when she left the shelter, to meeting her foster family, settling into a new home, enjoying a bath, and politely allowing ear and teeth checks, Jolene has taken every “pit stop” in stride. Her foster family has been amazed by how quickly she adjusts and how naturally she connects with people. Jolene is a true companion dog. She loves being near her people and has a sweet, gentle way of showing it. She’ll lean into you, sit close, turn her side toward you for pets, or put her paws up for a little extra love. Her tail is always ready to tell you how happy…
