Meet Jack! Jack is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and so much love to give! This handsome boy absolutely loves people, enjoys attention, and has never met a stranger. He does great with other dogs, and we think he would do well with kids, too! He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war and is always ready for some fun. Jack has already overcome quite a bit in his short life. When he first came to us, he was heartworm positive. He successfully completed treatment and is now heartworm-free! Shortly afterward, we discovered that Jack is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day. Thankfully, giving Jack his insulin is very easy, and he handles it like a champ! His future family will just need to understand how important it is to keep him on a consistent schedule with his insulin and meals. Because of his diabetes, Jack will occasionally have an accident in his kennel, but overall, he does very well. Jack is your typical Australian Shepherd: smart, active, and always ready to see what's going on! He loves to play and would enjoy a family who can give him plenty of attention and activity.
