From Eleventh Hour Rescue

*Adoption fee sponsored by a generous donor! Meet Jack! He is a beautiful 61 pound Carolina Dog–type mix, approximately 4-5 years old. He made quite the journey from Georgia up to NJ, and is enjoying the simple things while waiting for his forever home: sunny spots to stretch out in, bird watching, peaceful walks, and car rides. He’s a well- mannered gentleman; housebroken, crate trained, and is happiest just being near his people, keeping them company. Jack would do best in a fenced in yard. Before he was rescued, Jack was attacked by another dog over a nearby female in heat, and as a result needed reconstructive surgery on his eye. The surgery was a great success, and his eye is now perfectly normal and needs no further treatment or medications. Because of his attack, Jack tends to be timid around other dogs, especially at first. He is not aggressive; just a bit shy, and would do best in a calm, quiet home with adults and older children where he can feel safe and take time settling in. He would also do well with a calm companion dog. He needs a little patience and TLC. Jack loves to run around with tennis balls, and walk at the park. Jack is an affectionate, loving happy boy…
