From Albuquerque Animal Services - Westside

Meet Iris, a 2-year-old spayed German Shepherd mix who would like to makeone thing perfectly clear: she may be an active, energetic girl, but deepdown, she is convinced she is a lap dog. Yes, she knows she is a little toobig for that job. No, she does not care. If there`s a lap available, Iriswould like to apply immediately!Iris is friendly, affectionate, and loves spending time with her people. She`s got plenty of energy and would enjoy daily walks and adventures withher new family. Toys and balls? Thanks, but no thanks. Iris would muchrather spend her time exploring, walking, and getting attention than chasingsomething you just threw across the yard. She`s also a well-mannered girl who knows her sit, stay, and come. She takestreats gently and walks nicely on leash, making her a great candidate forregular neighborhood strolls. If you`re looking for an affectionate, active companion who would happily trade a game of fetch for a good walk-and possibly attempt to fit her entireself into your lap-come meet Iris!
