Hazel is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix who is showing us more of her wonderful personality every day. At around 40 pounds, she’s a great medium size—and she has plenty of love to give her person.Hazel loves her walks, loves treats, and really loves being with her person. Whether she’s tagging along for a walk or simply sitting beside you, she’s happiest when she’s included in your day.She’s okay with other dogs and is currently living with one, but Hazel definitely has a bossy side and likes to make her opinions known. Because of that, she’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only dog, where she can have all the attention to herself.One important thing to know about Hazel: the crate is absolutely not her thing. She was never crate trained in her previous home, and being confined in one causes her significant stress. Her ideal home will be one that can accommodate her without relying on a crate.Hazel isn’t looking for a perfect person—and she isn’t a perfect dog. She’s looking for someone who will appreciate her for exactly who she is: a sweet, loyal girl with a little sass, a love of walks, a weakness for treats, and a whole lot of love to give.
