Meet Hazel! This adorable girl is about a year old and weighs just over 38 pounds. Her sister looked more like a traditional yellow Lab, while Hazel has a little more of a hound or shepherd look to her coloring. Whatever she is, one thing is certain—she is super cute! Hazel and her sister were picked up as strays by Animal Control and brought to a shelter. When no one came looking for them, they were in danger of being placed on “the list.” Thankfully, BCAA heard about these sweet girls and stepped in to give them a second chance. Hazel and her sister are not bonded and are each looking for their own forever home.Hazel is a shy and incredibly gentle girl who may take a little time to warm up, but once she realizes she can trust you, her sweet personality shines through. She is amazing with kids of all ages and would make a wonderful family companion. Hazel is also great with other dogs and has done well with the dogs she has met. She can be a little cautious during introductions, so she appreciates having some time to get comfortable. She has also been around cats without bothering them. She is great on leash and loves nothing more than getting outside to run and play in the yard…
