Grandpa is a previous rescue and has come a long way since being adopted. He has had rigorous training and responds well to learning commands. He already knows, sit, down, place (get in kennel), go to bed (in kennel), come, go, wait, leave it, and heel (walk on left side while you walk). He is still capable of learning more. He is not destructive when left alone. He is triggered by the doorbell and spends a good portion of his day sleeping by the door. Once the weather is nice, he wants to be outside as much as possible. In the evenings, he will play with his ball. He is a great companion with very little day to day needs. Grandpa was attacked before he was adopted and is very reactive. He does need to be the only pet in the home. He gets along with most humans, but he is very sensitive to the energy of those around him. He is fine with children, but he can take on a protective role to visitors while around the children. Grandpa is a wonderful dog, and would thrive in a slow paced home…
