09/23/26 12:09From foster:Garp is playful, goofy, and loving. His anxiety levels have been low. He is comfortable spending time alone and relaxes quickly after a minute or two of barking. He will voluntarily enter his pen to play with toys or eat his food. His appetite has steadily improved, he has been drinking plenty of water. Giving him medication was tricky at first but is much easier now. He loves chew toys and chuck-it balls. He happily plays by himself, tossing and chasing toys. Garp knows his name, and house-training is going smoothly. We've begun basic leash manners training. Garp has been placed on FINAL as of 9/10/2026.He must be pulled by 5:00 PM on 9/16/2026, or he will be humanely euthanized. Garp has been on Urgent Needs Rescue since 3/30/2026 and has demonstrated high Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) throughout his stay at the shelter. In his kennel, Garp displays significant signs of stress and arousal, including spinning in the kennel, jumping onto the kennel door, and constantly alarm barking. His consistently elevated FAS and kennel presentation suggest that the shelter environment is significantly impacting his emotional well-being.Despite his high FAS in the…
