Animal Information: Gaia is an estimated almost 18-month-old female, German Shepherd/Malinois mix, weighing approximately 73lbs. Gaia means "Greek mother of all life". She was found as a stray with her 10 puppies. She had been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved. Foster Profile: Gaia is an incredible girl. Everyone who meets her becomes an instant fan. After raising her pups, she is more than ready to be a puppy herself. While she was originally estimated to be around 6 years old, our team feels confident she is closer to 18 months. Her playful personality shines through in everything she does. She is engaging, affectionate, and always up for fun. That said, she is still a Malinois. Smart, active, and occasionally a little mischievous if she gets bored. Gaia is great on leash, rides well in the car, and is fully potty trained. When left alone, she does need a high quality crate, we use Kennel Boss, as she is clever enough to let herself out of a standard wire crate.
