Update 4/2026 We have made the decision to add Freebie to our group of Joyful sanctuary pets because she is still terrified of humans and flinches at our touch. Freebie is very happy here and this has become her home and the dogs are her family and the few humans around here are fine from a distance so Freebie will forever be "joyful". Freebie was born around August 04, 2019 and weighs about 20 pounds. It seems Freebie came from a puppy mill or backyard breeding situation. She ADORES other dogs and is happy and playful with them. Freebie wants to love us humans and will walk up to us but runs in fear when we try to touch her. Freebie has never been aggressive to human touch just extremely fearful. Freebie must have a secure fenced in yard and another playful well socialized dog in her next home. It is going to take some work and patience to show Freebie that humans are wonderful but the outcome will be well worth it for you and for Freebie . Please do some reading on working with mill dogs before applying to adopt Freebie. Update: Still no human has touched this girl, but she will come within a few feet of the human she sees the most.
