From Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside

Meet Forest, a sweet senior gentleman looking for a soft place to land. ??Forest spent six years in the same home, so arriving at the shelter has been a big change for this gentle boy. He may be a little shy at first, but with patience, kindness, and time, Forest is ready to find his way into someone’s heart. He’s housetrained, walks nicely on leash, and enjoys the company of both adults and children. These days, Forest is also working on becoming a healthier, happier version of himself. A calm routine with nutritious meals, gentle daily exercise, and plenty of encouragement will help him reach his healthy weight and keep his arthritis more comfortable.Forest isn’t looking for a whirlwind lifestyle. He’d love a peaceful home, a cozy spot to relax, and someone who understands that the best friendships sometimes take a little time to blossom. After six years of knowing the comfort of a home, Forest is ready for a new chapter—and hopefully, a forever home filled with love. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for? ??
