Meet Erling, an Australian Shepherd mix pup with an estimated DOB of 4/8/26. He currently weighs about 20 pounds. This sweet little guy has already overcome more than any puppy should. While we don’t know what happened before he came into our care, his battered ears and patch of missing hair tell a story. Thankfully, as his foster mom says, “Whatever trauma he faced before does not seem to have impacted his love and trust of others.” Erling is a super smart, food-motivated boy who is eager to learn and is already making great progress with both house training and crate training. He loves toys, sturdy chew toys, car rides, and exploring the world around him. But perhaps Erling’s greatest quality is his love for everyone he meets. He absolutely adores people and dogs of all ages and sizes—big or small, young or old. He’s friendly, outgoing, playful, and incredibly social. With his happy personality and eagerness to learn, we think Erling would make an amazing family dog. Like any puppy, Erling will need a family committed to helping him learn and grow into the wonderful adult dog he’s meant to be.
