Meet Ellie! A gentle seventeen-year-old German Shepherd mix currently in Chula Vista, CA, Ellie is open to a loving home anywhere in the U.S. This sweet girl carries a quiet wisdom and a growing love for outdoor adventures, especially long sniff-filled walks and breezy beach days. Ellie weighs around 33 pounds and may have a touch of hound in her lineage, which shows in her curious nose and thoughtful pace. She can be timid when meeting new people, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she blossoms into an affectionate companion who leans in close without a single lick. Ellie is neutral with other dogs and enjoys calmly sharing space, and she is comfortable riding in the car for her next outing. She knows how to sit with a hand gesture and would enjoy learning more through positive reinforcement and consistent routines that help her feel secure. Sensitive to raised voices, Ellie thrives in a calm, caring environment where kindness leads the way. She has begun to experience age-related changes, including some vision decline and possible hearing changes, and she has a benign lump that is monitored, but she remains bright and engaged on her daily walks. She is spayed…
