✨ UPDATE!! MEET SWEET ELLA! ✨ This precious little senior is Ella, and if ever there were a girl who deserved to spend her golden years being spoiled rotten, it’s her. Ella came to us from a local overcrowded shelter after being dumped in her golden years—almost completely blind and deaf. Imagine being an elderly, tiny 7.5-lb girl suddenly finding yourself in a loud, unfamiliar shelter unable to see or hear what was happening around you. She arrived severely matted, suffering from skin and eye infections, and absolutely terrified. Her matting was so severe that she had to be sedated and completely shaved down. She has since started antibiotics and eye medication, and she is looking and feeling better every single day! Her teeth aren’t in the best condition, but because of her age and overall condition, we did not want to keep her under anesthesia any longer than necessary. Thankfully, that doesn’t slow Ella down at mealtime! She eats hard food like a champ—and she certainly doesn’t complain when she gets some wet food as a special treat. And despite everything this little girl has been through, she is THRIVING. Ella is quite possibly one of the sweetest and easiest little dogs…

How adopting Ella works

Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
