From Lake County Animal Services

Dolly is a sweet girl who has come a long way since arriving at the shelter. She was initially quite fearful of staff and her new surroundings, but with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, she has begun to show her true personality. These days, Dolly is blossoming into a happy, affectionate dog who enjoys the company of people she trusts. Dolly is looking for a patient and understanding home that will allow her the time she needs to adjust at her own pace. New environments and people can still be a little overwhelming for her at first, but with kindness and consistency, she continues to grow more confident every day. Her ideal family will celebrate her progress, respect her boundaries, and help her continue building trust. With the right support, Dolly has so much potential to thrive and become a loyal, loving companion.
