This delightful puppy with those gorgeous ice blue eyes is named "Chestnut" and we think he may be a "Texas Heeler" (Australian cattle dog and Australian shepherd mix). As you'd expect, he's a very intelligent and playful guy willing to cuddle with everyone! He was rescued by one of our wonderful volunteers and was adopted out as a puppy but had to be returned when his owner could no longer work from home. He is looking again for a new home to call his own and we think he would do best as an only dog. Chestnut is neutered and current on his vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control. His $125 adoption fee also includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain. If you've fallen for this little "nut" please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online application (no cost or obligation). Once approved we'll gladly set up a time for you to meet in person to see if it's a good match. Thank you for thinking Rescue.

How adopting Chestnut works

SPCA PETS SNAP of Montgomery County decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
