From Starfish Animal Rescue

Let us introduce you to this special boy. Blackie came to Starfish Animal Rescue in May. Blackie was at first so scared and anxious that we knew he just needed time to decompress and trust. That worked like a charm! Today, we know the real Blackie (also lovingly called “Shadow”): • When he bonds with his person, he becomes their shadow—loyal and always by your side • He needs patience, understanding, and love to truly thrive • About 1.5 years old and weighs around 40 lbs • Fully housebroken • Crate trained (though he’d much rather be with you!) • Loves dogs his size, but is not suited for homes with small dogs Blackie is ready for a fresh start with someone who will accept him, fears and all. He would love a home where he can go on walks (he does amazing on a leash!) and spend plenty of time with his person. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you deeply, Blackie may be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will be…

How adopting Blackie works

Starfish Animal Rescue decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
