From Ruff Start Rescue

When Bagel first came into rescue, he was very shy and timid, unsure of the world around him. After just a few days in his foster home, he began to blossom. Once he realized he was safe, he turned into a little shadow, following his foster mom from room to room and quietly soaking up the comfort of being loved. As his confidence grew, so did his personality. Bagel started playing with toys and his foster sister, discovered that cats are friends (he loves them!), and began curling up nearby during TV time. Now, when his person comes home after a long day, Bagel transforms into a happy, silly guy, full of joy and tail wags. Bagel was found running the streets of Texas on a cold, rainy day, and he’s still learning that a home is a permanent, safe place. He’s not a fan of crates yet and may try to escape, simply because he’s still figuring out what safety really means. With reassurance, consistency, and kind words, Bagel continues to grow more confident every day. For someone willing to move at his pace and…
