Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Babygirl! Babygirl arrived at the rescue with two other dogs, her sister Faith and mother Lila, in May 2025. Babygirl and the two other dogs were being cared for by an unhoused individual that loved all three of them dearly. The gentleman sought out help from an outreach organization to ensure all three girls were up- to - date on vaccines and spayed. The life of an unhoused person is hard enough without trying to care fo r three dogs. When the gentleman had to move locations again, out of love and in the best interest of the dogs, Labradors and Friends was contacted to see if we would help them. Babygirl is super social with people and greets all volunteers with excitement. She is playful—particularly with squeaky toys —and an overall happy dog. She may pull at the start of a walk out of excitement, but she settles in nicely and walks well on leash overall. Her good leash skills often makes her a favorite at new volunteer orientations. She does well passing joggers, bicycles, and most dogs. If the dog is too focused on her, she will react back.
