Meet Axel — The High-Energy Lover Boy Looking for His Person Axel is just under 2 years old and full of life, love, and enthusiasm. This handsome boy came into rescue after a rough start — dumped as a stray with a leg injury — but he hasn’t let his past dim his spirit one bit. Hi. I’m Axel.Somewhere between “athlete” and “active natural disaster,” with a strong emphasis on forward momentum and poor braking systems.Let’s get something out of the way immediately: I am not for beginners.I don’t mean that in a scary way. I’m not out here making bad choices with bad intentions. I’m just… a lot. A confident, experienced human who can set boundaries, follow through, and kindly but firmly say “absolutely not” when I’m considering launching myself through drywall in pursuit of a ball? That’s my ideal situation.I’ve got energy. Not normal energy. Not “let’s go for a walk” energy. I’m talking “if you throw a ball, I will simply become velocity” energy. Subtlety? Never heard of her.
