Meet Handsome Augustus (Augie) – A playful, sweet and affectionate boy looking for His Forever Home! This stunning 6-year-old Orange Belton English Setter is ready to find a family that will love and appreciate him. He’s a big boy at about 70 lbs that walks well on a leash, which is quite an accomplishment for an ES. While we know he is an English Setter, we can only speculate about his bloodlines because of his larger size, possibly Ryman? Augie is a smart, independent, treat-motivated boy who picks up on training quickly. Augie is ok with the company of female dogs his size but honestly people are his favorite, and he doesn’t need another dog in his forever home. No cats please. A medium sized fenced yard that is interesting to patrol for bugs, butterflies, squirrels, birds, etc would suit Augie just fine. Angie’s favorite toy is a nyalabone. He didn’t know what to do with toys when he first arrived in his SWESR foster home and it’s been a joy to watch him learn to have fun playing with toys. He’ll play tug with his person or toss and play with a toy by himself. Augie came from an environment where he was living outside and was pretty much neglected. He’s come so far in rescue…
