From Yolo County Animal Services Shelter
August is a 3-year-old Mastiff mix with a giant head, an even bigger heart, and the kind of forehead wrinkles that make you wonder if he's contemplating all of life's greatest mysteries. This sweet boy is an absolute dream to walk. He moves at a nice, slow pace with no pulling, making time with him feel more like a peaceful stroll with an old friend than a workout.August has an incredibly calm, gentle demeanor. Between those adorable wrinkles and his soulful eyes, he gives off serious âwise old man trapped in a 3-year-old dog's bodyâ energy. He looks like he has some very important thoughts â although they're probably mostly about treats, naps, and why you stopped petting him.Despite his impressive 74-pound size, August is simply a soft, easygoing sweetheart. He seems like the kind of pup who could settle comfortably into many different homes and would be perfectly content just being part of the family. If you're looking for a gentle giant to stroll beside you, lounge with you, and quietly ponder the meaning of life with you, come meet August. Those forehead wrinkles may hold all the answers. Meet August by making an appointment through yoloshelter.org/dogs, or email…
