From Rescue City

This 5 year old, 35 pound Poodle/Spaniel mix is a loving girl whose favorite things include belly rubs, couch naps, and being close to her people. Attie came into a shelter in Puerto Rico after both of her owners passed away within just a few months of each other. Attie has made it to New York and is enjoying the comforts of her foster home while she waits for a family to call her own. Her foster describes her as affectionate, relaxed, and always happy to soak up attention. She’s mostly chill, with little bursts of energy, a lovely balance for someone looking for a companion to enjoy walks and lazy afternoons together. Attie is house trained, sleeps well in her crate, walks well on leash, and greets new people nicely. She knows her name and commands including “sit,” “stay,” “drop it,” and “leave it.” She’s also been wonderfully tolerant during grooming and even enjoys bath time! Attie generally does well around other dogs, though her foster has noticed occasional discomfort when sharing space with the resident dog, she would do best with thoughtful introductions and a home that gives her room to settle in.
