Meet Arthur — A Giant, Gentle, People‑Loving Malamute Looking for His New Family Arthur is a stunning Alaskan Malamute with a heart as big as his paws. He just arrived at Malley Valley and is already a favorite. Arthur is a friendly, lovable, people‑oriented boy who seems to believe every human was put on Earth just to pet him. He happily allowed his evaluator to rub him all over, melting into the attention. He adores children of all ages and greets everyone with enthusiasm. Because of his size, he may accidentally knock over very small kids, but his intentions are always gentle and affectionate. He’s also a bit of a character — Arthur will hop into anyone’s car , loves being touched, and has a goofy, eager‑to‑please personality. He knows basic cues like sit, shake, speak, down, come, and no , though whether he chooses to listen is… well, classic Malamute. Arthur has had little formal training, so he’ll need an adopter committed to working with him. On leash, he’s a strong puller, and if given the chance, he’ll take off running.
