Meet Amelia Amelia is a sweet, curious, sassy, and wonderfully calm little lady who has a lot of love to give. A former show girl, she still carries herself with a little prance in her step and is completely comfortable with grooming, handling, and being pampered. She is also beautifully leash-trained and loves getting out for several walks each day. Amelia’s early life included the excitement of the show world, but her more recent years were much harder. As her owner grew older and could no longer care for her, Amelia spent far too much time in a kennel without the medical care or attention she needed. Despite all of that, she has remained incredibly trusting and affectionate. Today, she is thriving and pain-free, and she is soaking up the love and attention she deserves. Amelia loves her people most of all. She enjoys car rides, walks, belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging outside when the weather is pleasant, and snuggling beside her people while they watch TV or read. She isn't especially interested in toys—she'd much rather be wherever you are. And when she's happy, you'll get to see her adorable little butt wiggle as she wags her tail!
