APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. VERONIKA was saved by an independent rescuer back in early 2021. She was a tiny kitten. And she was adopted as a tiny kitten with her sister SERENA. Fast forward to 4 years later, they were returned because her son (who does not live with her) has "slight" allergies and she can't have them anymore. It took us a few months to get them back to feeling happy. Meet VERONIKA, a sweet Tuxedo cat from the bustling streets who’s ready to find a new loving home where she can truly blossom. With her striking black and white…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting VERONIKA works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
