AUGUST 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. TRACY STEWART, her mom MELISSA MCALL and her 2 siblings (LYDIA MARTIN and ALLISON ARGENT) were rescued from the shelter. Rescue mama was at the shelter picking up kittens for one of her fosters when she saw TRACY STEWART and her family. They were so sickly looking. Needless to say, the rescue mama picked them all up. She could not leave them to their doom. Meet TRACY STEWART, a young feline with the spirit of a stand-up comedian. Independent, yet friendly, TRACY STEWART is the epitome of a cat with nine lives…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting TRACY STEWART works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
