Meow meet Sylvester! Sylvester is a sweet tuxedo gentleman with a quiet soul and a story that speaks to resilience. Once part of an outdoor colony, he spent his early life fending for himself - learning to survive, but never truly knowing comfort. When he was finally trapped, the plan had been to return him to the colony. But Sylvester had other plans. After his surgery, it became clear something wasn’t right - his mouth was painful, red, and inflamed. Instead of being released, he was given a second chance. His caretaker kept him close, offering soft food, gentle care, and a trip to the vet that would change everything! Sylvester underwent multiple dental extractions due to severe stomatitis and it was during this time he was also diagnosed as FIV+. Life had already been hard enough for this shy, skittish boy. Facing the outdoors again with these challenges would have been nearly impossible. So his caretaker became something more - a foster mom - giving Sylvester the time, safety, and compassion he had never known. And Sylvester has blossomed!
