MAY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. STITCH was rescued from the Ramona Humane Society back in 2018. He was found as a singleton kitten on the street in San Jacinto, California. We saved him, got him fully vetted and he got adopted. Then 7 years later we get a call that he was living in a feral cat colony, skinny and starving. We were never able to find his family. Meet STITCH, a confident and cuddly gray tabby from San Jacinto, California, whose heart is as big as his personality—and whose favorite place to be is right in your arms. STITCH isn’t shy…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting STITCH works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
