From Animal Rescuers Without Borders

Meet Sally! We accepted this cutie in early June 2026 after she was rejected by a local San Diego shelter for being FeLV positive. We were contacted by her rescuer seeking assistance and we took Sally in. We do NOT normally accept FeLV kitties, but this little girl was headed to a cage for life. Her rescuer does not believe in euthanasia and living in a cage is NO life for ANY animal. We initially had thought about euthanizing this little monkey after she experienced a couple days of relaxation and fun at Casa de ARWOB, so that she could at least enjoy life for a while. This is something she had not experienced since she was stuck in a kennel for a month since being rescued. However, we also wanted to double check the test at the shelter was accurate, after all, its a life or death case. We are happy to report the IFA specilized test we sent out was NEGATIVE for felv. Whoo Hoo! So excited and happy for this little nugget to be a normal kitten with no impediments to find a forever family. Sally is a runt of her litter she will likely be a petite girl when she is full grown. She is a total tomboy though and she LOVES to jump in the air for her feather wand. Sally is such a love…

How adopting Sally works

Animal Rescuers Without Borders decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
