From Hilton Head Humane Association
At 6.5 years old, Rusty has mastered the art of living his best cat life. He’s got a soft spot for his people (especially when they give those just right head scratches), but he also marches to the beat of his own paws — climbing his cat tree like a jungle gym and scouting the world from the window like a true feline detective. Rusty loves a good cuddle moment, but he’s not clingy — he’ll show you love, then head off on a solo mission to explore a new corner of your home like its uncharted territory. If you’re looking for a cat with the perfect balance of affection and independence — a chill adventurer who also knows how to relax — Rusty might just be your guy.

How adopting Rusty works
Hilton Head Humane Association decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
