From Forgotten Felines of Culpeper

Meet Rhonda! Rhonda came to us in January 2023 when our volunteer, Amanda, overheard a customer at her place of work complaining about a cat always in his trash can searching for food. He stated that he was going to "get rid of her." Quick as a wink, Amanda stepped in, left work, went to the house, and brought Rhonda to us. (The man later gave us a donation.) Rhonda got her name from the Beach Boy's song, "Help Me, Rhonda.' Rhonda is a beautiful brown tabby white paws and chest and beautiful green eyes, about 4 years old. She is very sweet and unassuming, and seems to have low self-esteem. Poor Rhonda must've been through a lot while being on her own out there and must've been eating out of the trash for quite some time, because she had a hard time keeping food down for the first 2 weeks she was in our care. She was so nervous that she had lost some of her fur on her legs. When she 1st came to us, she was a bit of a Mary Contrary - she wanted to be pet, but only for a short time and then would bat at you, telling you to stop; however, she is a total love bug now, hopefully because she has learned to trust in people again.Rhonda has been with us for 2 years and is as good as can…

How adopting Rhonda works
