Pepper is part of an adorable litter born to a community cat and fortunate enough to have a guardian who wanted something better for her kittens. She spent time socializing Pepper and his siblings, helping them learn that people can mean affection, safety, and love. And because their guardian loves gardening, each kitten received a fitting garden-inspired name. Pepper can still be shy when meeting new people, and he may need a little time to decide that his new surroundings are safe. But don’t let that first impression fool you. Once Pepper becomes comfortable and gets to know you, he is affectionate and enjoys receiving attention. He’s also a playful young boy who loves the opportunity to have fun, explore, and enjoy all the things he missed while starting life outdoors. Pepper would be happiest with someone who understands that a shy kitten shouldn’t be rushed. Give him the time and reassurance he needs, and his confidence will continue to grow. With a little patience, Pepper is ready to leave community-cat life behind and become a cherished member of a family.
