With her bold tabby stripes, that sweet "M" marking above her eyes, and whiskers for days, Opalascent is a real looker — but it is what's underneath that fur that makes her special. This girl has been through a lot. Opalascent battled some tough infections early in life, and while she is now fully healed and cleared by the vet, she carries a little superficial damage to one eye as a gentle reminder of the fight she won. It does not slow her down one bit. Opalascent is a bit shy at first — she likes to watch and take everything in before she trusts you. And when she does "talk," do not expect a meow — she has the softest little chirps and murmurs instead, which somehow makes her even more endearing. Give her time to warm up, and you will find a cat whose only real agenda is pets. All day. Every day. She is absolute love once she lets her guard do. Opalascent is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed , and litter box trained. Opalascent 's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Opalascent, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

How adopting Opalascent works

Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF-IL) decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
