AUGUST 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ALFIE and MISCHIEF were saved dumped in a park in Murrieta, California. A family found them and brought them to Petsmart. We quickly found a foster and now they are both ready for their FUREVER home. Meet ALFIE ALFIE is a gorgeous Bombay kitten with a sleek black coat, bright eyes, and a personality as big as his energy level! This playful little guy is always on the move, chasing toys, wrestling with his brother, and turning every day into an adventure. Whether it's a feather wand, a crinkle ball, or a cardboard…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting MISCHEIF works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
