When Miles was found on the side of busy I-295, we had no idea how long he had been out there. Cars flew past him while he struggled to survive, covered in ticks and unsure where his next meal—or any help—was going to come from.When he first came to us, Miles was scared and extremely anxious around food. At mealtime he would sometimes lunge or swat, almost as if he couldn’t believe the food was really his. We can only imagine what he had been through and how many meals he had missed.But then something beautiful happened.Miles learned that the food keeps coming.He learned that he is safe.And most importantly, he learned that people can be kind. And WOW… did the real Miles come out.This formerly frightened roadside kitty has turned into one of the BIGGEST LOVE BUGS AROUND!Miles doesn’t simply ask to be petted—he practically throws his entire body into it! He head-butts your hand so hard you can’t help but laugh. He rolls over, shows you his belly, folds himself in half and flounders around like a little fish because apparently there is NO SUCH THING as too…
