It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. A Shadow of Misunderstanding, A Heart of Gold! MARISOL VERA was once just one of ten cats saved from a local shelter, a rescue mission that was particularly poignant due to the undeserved stigma so many black cats face. Unfortunately, these superstitions seem to have cast a long shadow over her journey. One by one, her ten siblings and friends found their forever homes, leaving MARISOL VERA to wait patiently.
