Meet the coy, 5 month old cutie, Mariah! Mariah is a tortie through and through but has made slow progress with enjoying pets and getting kisses. If she is lounging you can shower her with kisses and she purrs right away. She has got an adorable face and sweet personality.Mariah's favorite thing to do is lounge in a window perch where she can judge her siblings from above, she is a tortie diva after all. She is smart, if she knows you want to pick her up she is super quick and will dodge you everytime. But if you can manage to pick her up she will give in and accept love. Mariah loves to watch cat TV.Mariah would love to go to a home with one of her siblings (Bruno, Shania or Celine). She has seen the resident old small dog and is not a fan, but would most likely do fine with a cat-friendly dog. She has not been around children but would be fine with them. Mariah may take a minute to warm up to you, but once she does, she'll aways be your baby! All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Kittens have an adoption fee of $200 each or $300 for a bonded pair. Kittens must be adopted in pairs unless there is another young…

How adopting Mariah works

The Alternative Humane Society of Whatcom County decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
