Ever wanted to give a senior a loving home?Meet Lacey, one of the most deserving seniors out there. At the spry age of 11 or 12, our gorgeous granny lost her beloved owner earlier this year. She was completely disoriented and shut down when she came to, no doubt looking for her former friend, but patience, compassion and a brush she became obsessed with, helped her shine a bit more. One of Lacey’s best features are her eyes. She looks right into your soul, asking, can I trust you? And if the answer is yes, then you will never get a moment of peace if you do not continuously brush her!!! She can become a bit of a tyrant about it. Her second best feature are her chicken claw front and back peets, with which she makes extremely special grandma biscuits. Everyone knows grandma’s biscuits are the best. Lacey will need the same patience and compassion when she goes to her new home, so she feels comfortable opening up. Lacey is currently being fostered in Lyons with her buddy, Heidi, who lived with her at her former owner’s house. They can be adopted together or separately as they are not bonded. They are both vaccinated, fixed, and microchipped. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes…

How adopting Lacey works

Animal Rescue of the Rockies decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
