From Revelation Gardens

Keoto came to Revelation Gardens after he and a feline friend were found living behind our little shop on Main Street. He’s always been a somewhat reserved boy. Keoto isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t generally seek out physical affection, but over the years we’ve watched him become increasingly comfortable simply being present with his people. His journey hasn’t always been easy. After Revelation Gardens moved to a new location, Keoto went through a period when he began urinating and defecating outside the litter box. We tried to understand what was causing it, but there was never an obvious answer. Eventually, just as unexpectedly as the behavior began, it stopped. Later, we noticed Keoto’s tongue beginning to stick out and took him to our veterinarian. We discovered that he had significant dental disease and ultimately needed to have all of his teeth removed. We don’t know whether the discomfort from his mouth contributed to the behavioral changes we’d seen earlier, but we do know something important: Keoto seems to feel much better now. He’s sweeter, more relaxed and comfortable being out where life is happening rather than hiding away. He continues to use his litter box…

How adopting Keoto works

Revelation Gardens decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
