From Humane Society of Kent County Maryland Inc.

Karen Smith is a 5‑month‑old grey and white kitten who arrived at the rescue with her siblings. Like many young cats in shelter environments, she unfortunately caught ringworm shortly after intake and spent about a month in quarantine while she healed. Even though her start was a little rocky, Karen handled everything with quiet resilience and gentle curiosity. Now fully recovered, Karen is ready to begin her search for a forever home. She’s a sweet, shy girl who is still learning that love, pets, and human affection are safe and comforting. Karen watches everything with wide eyes and genuine interest, and while she may hang back at first, she warms up beautifully with patience and kindness. Her curiosity shines through in small, brave moments — slow approaches, soft purrs, and tentative head bumps that show she wants to trust.Karen would thrive in a home with another confident, friendly cat who can help her continue to grow. She takes comfort in feline companionship and blossoms when she has a buddy to follow and learn from. Because of her young age, she does well with kids, cats, and dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a calm, supportive household.Karen Smith is a gentle soul…
