Gemma is a truly special girl with a quiet, grounding presence—she’s what we lovingly call the “silent matriarch” of her foster home. At around 2 years old, she has naturally taken on the role of in-house foster mom, gently guiding and comforting every new kitten that comes through the door. She’s patient, nurturing, and wise beyond her years. Gemma is calm, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. She enjoys lounging nearby, following her people from room to room, or soaking up the sun on a patio. She would especially thrive in a safe indoor/outdoor home with a secure yard (like a catio or enclosed yard) where she can relax outside while staying close—she doesn’t wander, but she absolutely loves being part of your everyday rhythm. She gets along beautifully with other animals (especially kittens!) and has a natural way of helping them feel safe and confident. Her Story & Special Care Gemma was heartbreakingly left behind by her previous owners and waited months for them to return. During that time, she became a mom and suffered an eye injury.
