MAY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ESTHER was saved by the Rescue Mama's neighbor in Hemet, California. The neighbor found her at a park really scared and skinny. We got her into the rescue and now this little sweetie is ready for her own family! Meet ESTHER: The Shy but Resilient Bombay Beauty ESTHER is a stunning Bombay cat with a sleek, black coat that gleams like velvet in the light. She may be a little shy at first, but don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you – ESTHER is full of heart and resilience. She was found abandoned on the streets of Hemet…

How adopting ESTHER works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
