FEBUARY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ERIN YEAGER and his 2 siblings (ARMIN ARLERT and LEVI ACKERMAN) had a rough life. They were brought into the shelter as tiny kittens. We rescued them and sent them to a foster. But she kept them for a long time and returned them unsocialized. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And this boy has come a long way. Meet ERIN YEAGER, the gentle giant with a heart as big as his fluffy Maine Coon exterior. True to his breed's "gentle giant" nature, ERIN YEAGER is a stunning boy who simply needs a patient, quiet home…

In the rescue's own words, as they published it.

How adopting ERIN YEAGER works

Workin' Whiskers decides every adoption: its application, its fee, its home check and its timing. Everybarn only shows this animal on the rescue's behalf, takes no payment and passes no messages.
