** work-in-progress cat ** I am Elvira, an endlessly curious kitty. I love to follow you around from room to room. I'll roll dramatically on the floor, sleep at the foot of your bed, and show off my playful side with lasers, strings, or bouncy balls. However, I usually prefer to admire you from afar. You can only pet me while I'm eating. But my quirky charm will quickly win you over. With patience—and Scraps showing me the joy of a good belly rub— I make strides in confidence every day. Speaking of my BFF Scraps, we are a package deal! We love to wrestle, cuddle, chase, and we will absolutely entertain you. Together, we are the perfect combo of playful chaos and sweet companionship. I am a "work-in-progress" cat. When I first came to Carmah, I was extremely shy but the volunteers saw possibilities in me. My foster and I have been making progress together. I want to find a home where I have the space and time to continue the process. When I first move to your home, I will probably hide while I get used to household rhythms, smells, sounds, and routines. I will slowly come out of my shell as I learn to trust you. I may always hide when new people arrive, or I might start to enjoy…
