10/02/26 13:53 Cowboy's wire is removed, his jaw is totally healed up. He had a few teeth extracted and is now ready for his forever home! 09/09/26 14:15 Cowboy is a handome, affiliative and sweet ~7 year old M intact orange DSH who presented to shelter with a mandibular symphyseal fracture (separation of his lower jaw at the front) and and a rostral hard palate fracture and wound with oronasal fistula present. His mandibular symphysis was wired together and he was given pain medications and antibiotics and he is eating well. He will need the wire in for 6 weeks at which point the wire will be removed under sedation/anesthesia. He otherwise is healthy on physical exam and is in need of urgent rescue due to long length of treatment - rescue mus tbe able to care for him and have his wire removed at 6 weeks (10/21) (can be done at time of castration).He is FELV/FIV/HWT neg/neg/neg. He has been vaccinated (FVRCP) and has flea treatment and dewormer.
